The Collection Division is responsible for the collection of real property taxes and related charges due Salt Lake County and other taxing authorities. To accomplish this objective, the division is divided into four sections: Accounts Receivable, Tax Relief, Property Liens and Cashiering.
Accounts Receivable is responsible for the administration of current and delinquent property taxes and special district certification accounts. To obtain specific information concerning the status of your property tax account, please call 468-3400 and select option 4.
The Accounts Receivable section is also responsible for updating mailing addresses and mortgage holder information to the County's Property Tax System. To receive an application to change your mailing address to receive property tax information from Salt Lake County call 801 468-3400.
The Tax Relief Section is responsible for the administration of the various statutory tax relief programs in Salt Lake County. These include the following property tax relief programs:

The Property Liens Section is responsible for the administration of Centrally Assessed Properties, properties under the protection of the Bankruptcy Courts, properties subject to the Privilege Tax, properties subject to administration under FIRREA and properties subject to segregation, combination or tax proration due to changes in ownership or changes in existing legal descriptions. For specific information concerning these areas, please call (801) 468-3400 and select option 6.
The Cashiering Section is responsible for processing all monies paid to Salt Lake County. They are also responsible for the administration of the prepayment program for property taxes.
